We are pleased to welcome Bill Sawyer to the Claims Integrated Solutions team as the new AVP of Claims Technology Solutions.

Bill is joining the Claims Technology Solutions (CTS) team as they prepare for the upcoming retirement of Brian Begley, VP of CTS. The focus of the CTS team is to drive all aspects of technology for the Claims organization to ensure we stay up to date and on the cutting edge of Claims Technology.

Please welcome Bill Sawyer to the team!

Get to Know Bill Sawyer
Bill is an entrepreneurial leader with over 33 years of experience in claims technology including Claims Operations, Triage, & Shared Services. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with a specialization in Management and Leadership from Capella University. He also has an AIC-M Insurance Institutes designation specializing in Workers’ Compensation claims.

Prior to joining us here at AmTrust, Bill worked at ArgoGroup as the Assistant Vice President of Claims Shared Services. During his time at ArgoGroup, Bill worked in all aspects of the Claims Department and always worked closely with the IT department on various projects and initiatives. He has extensive knowledge interpreting business requirements to better communicate those needs with the business. Bill’s involvement with the ArgoGroup evolved from regional to national and included General Liability and Commercial Auto along with Commercial and Property Claims. In addition to his core responsibilities, he also functioned as a Workers’ Compensation SME and Claims Workstream owner for 2 claim system projects to consolidate and streamline five different claims applications into a single platform.

Bill has been married for 24 years to his wife Meredith, who is a 3rd grade teacher. He has 2 daughters, Abigail, who recently graduated with a BFA in Animation from Montclair State University, and Emma, who just finished her freshman year at Rowan University majoring in music performance (flute, piccolo and piano).

Fun Facts
- Despite his wife being a huge Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan, he does not share that same love of sports. He would much rather watch a good movie or binge an interesting series. He pretty much subscribes to almost all streaming services, which makes him, well his login information, a hit with his kids AND all their friends.

- Bill has 2 small dogs, Charlie, a 5-year-old Morkie they rescued during the pandemic, and Lola, a 12-year-old Shichon they’ve had since she was 8 weeks old. Charlie and Lola force him to get daily exercise by walking them around the neighborhood every evening (rain or shine).

- Bill also enjoys building Lego sets in his free time. Most recently, he successfully assembled the Titanic, which was four feet long and considered his personal Everest.

You ready to smile and say Hi? Today is the day! SED Lindsey Hale is hosting her team retreat this weekend here at the Retreat Center. They will be going on a Home Office Tour this afternoon to check out the new digs. So, if you see them in the hall, take a second to greet them and make them feel welcome!

It's also a good time to make sure your area is tidy and hide all the top secret stuff you’re working on!

Notes

This post was used to communicate a large amount of information quickly via our private social channels. There had been some issues with a program rollout and the audience was very sensitive and on edge because of continuing problems. With that in mind, we had to over communicate, along with dispelling some rumors.

I wanted to provide you a quick update for today.

Product Credit - Yesterday we rolled out two exceptions for the Product Credit process. Those planned updates are really helping your customers get their Product Credits added to their account. As of this morning, there have been over 100,000 customer accounts created and over 80,000 Product Credits issued. That's a lot of opportunity for your customers to get some great Fall product in their hands.

The 2 exceptions that went live yesterday are:

Customer Exception - Customers whose email address was not connected to the original orders can now request a Product Credit by clicking the link in the Benefits section of their customer account and submitting the required info.

Consultant Exception - Consultants who shopped on a party or placed a retail order during the months of June, July, & August can now now request a Product Credit using their Consultant Email address.

If you're still having trouble, be sure to check out the Pro Tips on Product Credit page on TOT.

Consultant Support - We are still experiencing higher than normal call volumes in Consultant Support. We are working extremely hard to answer those questions as soon as possible. Please remember that you can find the most up to date shipping projections by visiting the Business Update on TOT.
